The name was inspired by two european sceneries: The Rua das Janelas Verdes (street of green Windows), in Lisboa, and the blue windows from the blue coast of France. But the décor is pretty brazilian. The furniture are all in a rustic and chic style.
The decoration of the inn, for instance, is very Brazilian. The furnishings are rustic and chic. The decorative pieces have been found and bought over the last few years in practically every region of Brazil. Small sculptures, photos, crafts, paintings, and rugs create a blend of pure Brazilianness, providing an intimate atmosphere.
The Casa das Janelas Azuis has 9 suites, all named after the neighborhoods of Niterói and divided into standard and special categories. They are all air-conditioned and offer comfortable rooms with balconies to the pool, and are equipped with minibar, LED TV, high standard furniture and bed and bath linen. The special suites offer, as a differential, whirlpool tub. The Spa Camboinhas, a super special suíte, was installed with more space, two TVs and two balconies.

Many leisure offers in a setting of natural beauty
AIn addition to the comfort and coziness atmosphere of the facilities of the Casa das Janelas Azuis, our guests can enjoy the advantages of the region and the services offered in a quiet and urbanized neighborhood. An invitation for those who like to practice ground sports (running and cycling) and marine ones (stand up paddle, kayak and sailing), and even for those who prefer a contemplative walk.
Another leisure option is to make a trail to the Sossego Beach, one of the wildests beaches of Niterói, protected by two slopes covered by natural vegetation.
Located between the beaches of Itaipu and Piratininga, Camboinhas occupy a strip of sand of 2.6 miles, bathed by a sea of clean and almost always transparent waters. In addition to the sea bath, Camboinhas has great bar and restaurant services. The kiosks installed along the shore offer seafood and also the traditional cuisine.
In the evenings, for those who want to go out without great displacements, there are bars at the Trevo de Piratininga offering live music and different dishes, from international cuisine to bar food.
The origin of a neighborhood that offers many attractions
The strip of sand and surroundings that we now know as Camboinhas was part of Itaipu. But a ship changed that story. In 1958, the Argentine-flagged freighter "Camboinhas" was released from a tug that transported it for repairs, was adrift and stranded some 150 meters from the beach. There are those who contest this version, remembering that in the sandbank vegetation of the region there was a species also called cambboinhas, still used today to aromatize cane brandy.
Whatever the origin of the name may come from, the neighborhood of Camboinhas today occupies an area of 2.84 square kilometers and grew in an orderly way, despite its natural attractions and the consequent interest of real estate speculation. Its streets were planned and urban legislation prevented, with great success, the unrestrained verticalization of house construction. The neighborhood is endowed with good infrastructure, with sanitation, paved streets, large flower beds and leisure areas.
In addition to the beautiful beach, much sought after by residents of other neighborhoods of Niterói and neighboring cities, Camboinhas is the favorite place of sportsmen who practice cycling and running.
